Big Lake Fire Department 2014 Annual 9/11 Parade.

Every year since the 9/11 attacks in September 2001 the Big Lake Fire Department in Mount Vernon, Washington has hosted a 9/11 Memorial Parade in memory of the brave men and women that we lost that day and to honor and recognize those that continue to serve our community. Firefighters, Paramedics and Law Enforcement from several local areas around Skagit County participate.

Families and neighbors from the Big Lake Community gather roadside around the lake and in Nookachamp Hills for this annual event.  Year after year the event only continues to grow. Those here in Big Lake Washington will never forget those brave souls whom we lost!
